Registration

Welcome

Dear new and returning students, welcome to Victoria Ballet! You are now about to embark on a journey of excitement and learning - a spark of passion that will go along in your lifetime. To help achieve this goal, please follow the following rules outlined below:

*Please know that Victoria Ballet does not offer makeup classes to ensure respect for students in existing classes. However, for frequent holidays, we will schedule separate makeup sessions. Thank you for your understanding.

Student class code:

1. Before class, Please arrive at least 10 minutes before class to prepare, and wait quietly with poise until the instructor invites you into the studio. Upon entering, greet the instructor with a ballet curtsy.

2. During class, focus on the instructor’s directions, and only ask questions when given the opportunity—avoid talking unnecessarily. When the instructor demonstrates a movement, stand behind them to observe and learn. Do not sit down, lean on the barre, or leave the room without permission to go to the restroom or drink water. If a student is in an unusual body condition, they must notify the teacher of their conditions, not hide their conditions that can potentially lead to injuries.

Student dress code:

3. Attire: Please adhere to the strict dress code. Wear the designated leotard for your level, along with the specified tights and shoes. Do not walk outside wearing only your leotard; always cover up with a skirt or pants. Keep your attire clean and well-maintained. During class, no additional clothing is allowed over your leotard, as this is crucial for both safety and effective training.

4. Hair: Your hairstyle reflects your dedication to the class. Ensure your hair is tied up in a neat bun before arriving. If you're unsure how to make a proper bun, there are many tutorials on YouTube to guide you. Especially when learning turns, it's important that your hair is securely fastened so it doesn't come undone. Students with unkempt hair may not be allowed to participate in the class (exceptions are made for the first day).

Studio maintenance:

5. In the halls, Parents are not permitted to watch classes through windows or doors. You may observe only on the designated observation days provided by the studio. This policy ensures that both the instructor and students can fully concentrate on the class.

6. Yelling, running, or causing disturbances in the hallway is not in keeping with the grace of a ballerina. Similarly, leaving behind food, carelessly handling your belongings, or littering does not reflect the elegance of a ballerina. We hope to maintain a studio free from such behaviors.

  • What is Monthly Installments (Monthly Plan)?
Monthly installments or Monthly plan is to pay annual program in multiple installments: one installment in a month.   It is conceptually different from typical monthly plan which buys a certain number of classes per month. All the regular ballet classes in Victoria Ballet, other than adult ballet classes and private lessons, are annual programs along with academic school year. Students pay the tuition at once before the school year starts, or pay the amount equally for each month.   For example, if tuition of a ballet class of 2024 school year is $950, you may pay at once before the school year starts, or pay $100 monthly from Sep. 2021 to June 2022 (10 months, the monthly tuition is slightly higher as it include processing fee) If you're enrolled in the mid of school year, you will start paying monthly installments from the month you joined.
  • Why the number of classes per month varies in a monthly plan?
Our monthly plan is not to buy a certain number of lessons per month, but to pay an annual program in multiple(10) installments. Therefore, depending on national / local holidays and Victoria Ballet Studio vacation, the number of classes can vary by month. Yet, don't worry, ballet training is not just counting the number of hours of lessons, but more holistic one. Our teachers have a view and plan of each of you, how to move forward to the next level.
  • Why a school year is 10 months? What do we do in the remaining 2 months?
Good point. Those 2 months are usually in summer and many people's schedule change. We usually open Summer Intensive courses and Summer Camps. The plan for summer program will be announced between Feb. ~ June.
  • When the recurring payment processed?
If you're enrolled in monthly installments(Plans), the tuition is processed on 25th of each month for the following month. If you're enrolled in 10-lesson packages such as incredible adult ballet and private lessons,  the tuition of the next 10-lesson package will be processed on the day the last lesson of the current package is taught,   If you're not enrolled in automatic recurring payment, you may come and pay at the studio on the due date. Please note that there's late fee if the payment is delayed more than 7 days.
  • How to cancel plans? What is the refund policy?
Basically, every purchase is non-refundable. If you're enrolled in monthly plan and want to stop, please let us know via info@victoriaballetlosaltos.com before 25th to stop the further recurring payment. * Refund is not possible for any reason unless notice is given one month before the payment date (the 25th of each month) If you're enrolled in 10-lesson packages and want to stop, please let us know before the last lesson of the package is taught.
